Will an arrest warrant be dismissed if the other party does not come to court?

Hi,

My boyfriend has a warrant for arrest. He had this crazy ex girlfriend who cheated on him and then went to the police and said that he was stalking her and abusing her, and the police believed her and issued my boyfriend a restraining order. Some time later, she called him to drop something off by the house and called the police right there so that he would get a warrant, which he did since he violated the order.

The court has sent a notice out to both of them to show up and resolve this. Neither of them showed up to the first meeting or the second meeting.

She doesn't want to go because she already got what she wanted: to make his life miserable and have him running away from the police forever.

I talked to him about it and said that if she did not show up to court, and he did, that means she basically has nothing to claim anymore and there is nothing going against him, especially since he did not do any of this stalking and abusing that she claims he did.

Do you think that if he goes to court right now by himself, and she does not know up... will they dismiss his warrant since she was not there, claiming anything?

Do you think that he would still need to serve time in jail? Or just be on a probation, like community service, etc?

Those who know the answer, please respond.
Help is greatly appreciated.
Thank you.
