Verizon Wireless customers will be able to text merged customers once everyone is over...this may have already occurred.
Alltel customers will not be able to text Verizon customers free(unless their Alltel plan includes unlim messaging)...EVER...unless they are willing to upgrade their plan to a Verizon plan (and possibly get a Verizon phone)...if Alltel customers change their plan in any way, they're forced to switch completely to Verizon and pay an ETF.
