Will a speeding ticket in Louisiana affect my Texas driving history?

You were put on 12 month or 1 yr probation, so yes you will have to pay for both now. Your tickets go against your license number not the state your in.

I got a speeding ticket in Houston a few months back, took defensive driving and had it removed from my record but if I was to get another ticket, I would have to pay both tickets and both will hit my insurance. Since my second ticket was in Louisiana, will that cause me to have to pay both and nullify the defensive driving I did for the first ticket?

I really can't afford two tickets that total somewhere around $500-$600 together AND have 2 tickets hit my insurance at the same time. Is there anything I can do?
Terrell - From what I've heard, if you took defensive driving to wipe a ticket from your record and you get another ticket within 12 months of taking defensive driving, you have to pay both tickets. I just don't know if the ticket in Louisiana will cause me to pay for the first in TX.

You have to pay for the second ticket. The first should have been dismissed by the courts, and all you had to pay was court fees. You took defensive driving to take care of it. It should be erased off of your record and never traced back to you. The second ticket, well... You are S.O.L on that one. You have to pay that one.
