Will a motor from a 1997 Ford Aerostar 4x4 van fit into a Ford Explorer 4x4?

The motor is a 4.0 liter and that is what was in the explorer. Will all parts interchange or do you have to do some piecing.
 
I didn't know the Aerostar had a 4x4 option. It should work but I would check with auto parts websites to see if the engine mounts, & ignition modules are the same P/Ns.
 
Sure it will fit, you can put almost any motor in any car if you have enough money. I would try to find a motor out of an explorer though....it will be much easier and less of a headache. I think the bell housing patterns are different on the 2 motor options but im not sure. No to sound rude, but if you have to ask that question you might be in over your head...... Good luck!
