subs? I have 3 pioneer subs. They are rated 1000 watts rms and 3000 watts max each. I currently have 3 hifonics amps, one for each sub, but I need more watts. I want to know if I get one hifonics xxv goliath, which puts out about 3200 watts @ 2 ohms, am I able to hook it up to my subs and give each one about 1065 rms? It sounds like it would be simple and work, but I checked the wiring diagram for one mono amp to 3 dvc 2 ohm subs and it puts the amp at a 3 ohm load. Does that mean that is doesnt give out the 1065 watts rms @ 2 ohms that I want, and can the xx goliath handle a 3 ohm load? Also, with my 3 hifonics amps I have 3 1.2 farad caps and I'm running 1800 watts rms and 3600 max and my electrical is fine (my healights will dim slightly if I really have it pumping). If it is possible for me to get the xx goliath I will now be running 3200 rms and about 10000 max. If I get the xx goliath and like a 30 farad cap can I keep my electrical/ maybe just hook up an extra battery? Or will have to start getting 3 alternators and a bunch of batteries? Thanx for your help.
P.S. I know that capacitors just stiffen the current and can not replace an extra battery like everyone says. But, I have personally seen cases where someone has a system that bangs so hard (over 2000rms) that when the bass hits, every single light on their car turns off, including headlights. After a person got a big 20 farad cap, the electrical was completely fine, no more dimming headlights.
