I'm thinking of buying an HTC One S off of a friend. They bought it a month ago from Fido (Canada). I know that I'll have to get it unlocked, but I've heard conflicting answers for whether or not it operates on Mobilicity's frequency, which is 1700. I know Virgin's One S works, but I don't want to buy the Fido one and find out that it doesn't.
I know that Mobilicity carries the One S in its lineup, but I've heard that it's a version that works off of a different frequency than the One S carried by Bell/Telus/Rogers/etc. Has anybody actually tried making the switch, unlocking the Fido One S and going to Mobilicity or Wind?
