Will a criminal record affect travel to the US if I hold duel citizenship with the US?

I have Canadian and American citizenship and reside in Canada. Would a marijuana trafficking charge hinder my travel to the states even with my holding citizenship there? I have both US and Canadian passports and have lived in Canada most of my life
