Will a 96-98 FORD MUSTANG 4.6L GT ENGINE fit in my 67' coupe?

I have recently purchased a 67' mustang coupe. Its a rolling body...

Basically Im just curious if a 96-98 Ford Mustang 4.6L GT Engine, 94-95 Mustang HO 5.0 302, or a 87-93 Mustang HO 5.0 302 will easily fit? and if a T5 transmission will as well? Any help is very much appreciated.

I can get both the engine and transmission above for $2000 and I am in school, so money is tight-ish. I would like to eventually put a 289 HIPo in it, but I am not sure about how expensive it would be or how to get a hold of a 289 block that I don't have to bore?
i was just curious if it would fit in the engine bay, but thanks. it originally had a 289 and i would prefer to put a 289 back in it. I know what engines where available, i just didn't know what the sizing difference was.
For some reason I was thinking that the 289 was used until recently, but I'm not sure how I came up with that...
but, like i said id like to do a 289 HiPo, but how do I get a 289 block that is in good enough condition that I don't have to bore it?

the efi 5.0 from later mustang is bolt in fit. its based on the 289/302 windsor. the t5 has 15 different variants. as far as trying to find a virgin 289 good luckand tell me how that works out. you can stroke the 302 to a 347 screamer buy the kit BEFORE you buy the engine and install them both at the same time. no nothing from the earlier windsors bolts up to the early 302 blocks. any thing you can do to a 289 you can do to a 302.

You can fit any engine in any car provided you have the money and the fabrication and skills.

Seeing that you even had to ask this question in the first place I doubt you have any idea what it takes to do an engine swap of this magnitude. So I hope that you have lots of money because you are going to have to pay a professional to make this swap for you.

The going rate for something like this will be at lest $100 per hour, most likely more. I would give a rough estimate of at least 100 hours labor. So plan on paying at least $10,000 for the labor alone.

Installing a 4.6 will require extensive modifications to the engine bay and front frame.

You would be far better off installing an older style small block Ford V8 instead as this would be a more straight forward swap. A 289, 302, or 351 would be relatively easy swap as this generation Mustang came with these engines.

A skilled mechanic could do this swap in a day. A shade-tree mechanic could do it in a weekend.
