transmissions are like all mixed up .... if you want correct info about what's true "" what fits what ride "" you need to go to the Chevy or GMC dealer and make a friend of the parts counter dude ... the serial or vin numbers may help if you can get those numbers and take them with you ... tranny shops do not have the comprehensive data base that is computerized at the dealerships ==== you can get info all day off internet answers BUT you will be well informed and not buy a tranny you cannot use if you go to the dealers parts counter and enlist their help (( buy the guy a coke and a candy bar ))) this will save you lots of time and running around and money....I suggest that you go in person and not the phone == this is more respectful.....
