Will 2002 Chevy Cavalier rims fit onto a 1999 Cavalier?

I have a 1999 Cavalier LS and one of my co-workers have 2002 Cavalier rims and tires for dirt cheap. I researched the bolt patterns and it looks like they have never been changed. The only changes I have seen are when they went from a 15in wheel to a 16in wheel. My co-worker has 18in under his Cavalier so I know 16in will not be a problem.

Your best bet is to check out the layout of the bolts, as well as the number (which obviously, if the layout is identical, than the number would also be the same... Oxy-moron? Maybe). Good luck but from my knowledge, they should be the same. Adding a larger wheel/tire, it will only change the overall driving dynamics of the vehicle, as well as change the speedometer calibration due to the radial change. Good luck and more, God bless!

I looked up 1999 and 2002 Cavalier rims on ebay. Both the 15 inch rims and the 16 inch rims have a bolt pattern of 5x100. The 16 inch rims have a diameter of 16 and a rim width of 6 inches. The 15 inch rims have a diameter of 15 inches and a width of 6 inches. To answer your question, they should fit. What you should do is ask your co-worker if you can try one on before you get them. Use your jack and put one on. Only bolt it on if you know for sure the bolts will fit and they won't damage the rim. The other thing you can do is go to a local tire store and have them try it, but that will cost you $5-10 bucks. Whatever you do make sure you know they will fit before you buy them. Good Luck.
