Will 10W-30 do damage to my Ford Focus in winter?

I just got an oil change on my 2002 Ford Focus ZTS (2.0 Zetec), and they used 10W-30 over the recommend 5W-20 without letting me know. My car has 135,000 miles, and I live in Michigan currently seeing the start of a cold winter. Will this do any damage? Do I need to change this ASAP?

it is best to put the oil in that it calls for. but 10-30 with a motor that has a little mileage on it should be ok.

Not wise to try using a different weight oil on a high mileage engine. They should have used what your vehicle calls for rather than what they felt like using. They made the mistake. They should make it right at no cost to you.

if you get cold wheather there you need 10w20, but if its warm 10w30 ok to runn
