Wii's out of stock, what about...

accessories! Whats it like where you guys live for accessories?

Everything from nunchucks to wiimotes to Wii points cards are sold out at every store here. I just picked up the last two virtual console controllers from Best Buy (first store I've seen them at). Seems like accessories are almost as hard to find as the Wii's.

Talk about crazy. I figure we must not get as many shipments here cuz Wii Points Cards should NOT be out of stock, and I can't find any here after looking at 6 stores (Walmarts, Best Buy, Future Shop)

i looked for about 3 weeks straight, everyday back in november/december
i'd go to about 3-8 stores a day

i found my controllers at walmart and toysrus first
then i lucked out and waited outside of target for an hour and a half and got a wii

i imagine it would be slightly easier to find one now, you just gotta keep looking

local walmart has been getting wii's about once a week, but accessories are wiped every time I'm in there. They had a few SD cards and 3 2000 points cards yesterday... but that's it.

It's easy. Don't go into places expecting miracles. All the kids who got out of school at 3:00 got those miracles... you're two hours late, Mr. Nine to Five.

Call! Call every night, asking when the next shipment is! They won't know until the night before, or a couple days before. So call everyday! Other people are, two... so when you know you gotta jump the gun!

When that day arrives, don't go after work. It's too late. Don't even go on your lunch break, either. There are home schooled kid, stay-at-home Moms, and unemployed gaming freaks who have already been there. The trick is is to come in at opening. At this point, they have only had time to stock them, or perhaps even haven't stocked them yet.

This is your chance; grab everything you need! It may be another few weeks until you get another chance.

I was lucky; my EBGames representive told me the night before of the news. Went :30 before opening with some donuts, and waited. A line had formed behind me! That's how many other people there are just as smart as you. Bum-rush it to the cash register of where the Wiicessories are (depending on the store), and spend, spend, spend!

damn dude. You've WAAAAY over thought this.

I was randomly walking through WalMart, spotted 2 Wii's in the case... so I bought one.

I didn't call anyone about anything. Every time I'd go to WalMart or another retailer, I'd hit the Wii section, just to see if they had anything. Took a week or so, found a controller, nunchuk and 2 classic controllers.

If you're the type of person that HAS to have EVERYTHING for your system the day you buy it, perhaps the quoted outline is for you. Me... I just relaxed, played it cool, and it worked out ok.

Theres accessories everywhere, you don't really need to look further than two stores to find a classic controller which seems to be the most rare other than the console itself.

Canada must not get shipments like you guys

There are NO Wii points cards in my city, tried every store that would carry them (10-12) As well as most other accessories.

Alot of stores don't actually carry the Wii points cards, only dedicated game shops seem to be rather than general stores even though they sell other accessories.

I walked into walmart about 2 weeks before xmas and bought an extra controller set and a classic controller.

I should've bought more because I haven't seen anything anywhere since.

And I ordered controllers off the nintendo online store, but I think by addinig a component cable I delayed the entire order.
