WiiMote shutting off?

Has anyone had a problem with their Wiimote shutting itself off?
IE i'm playing tennis and ill go to swing, but no movement.. Because my remote shut itself off.

It happened a few times now.. Its getting a bit agitating.
 
never happened to me. if I pause Zelda for too long the remote shuts off but only after like 5 minutes and only if the game is paused. I think its just a battery saving thing. it shouldn't go off when yer playing. try new batteries.
 
my wiimote shuts off too. it hasn't happened in a game though, just when i'm playing with menu or settings. usually when it switches menus.
i just resync it and its good to go again, but it's getting pretty damn annoying now.
 
No, it isnt batteries. My battery levels show as 3 or 4 bars.
And this only happens with one of my remotes.

I've had it happen 10 or 11 times tonight.
Playing Super Monkey Ball (hammer throw baby!) and the fucker shuts off.

It happens alot in Tennis as well. I think it has something to do with the way the gyro's/sensors are being bounced around.

Each time it happens, I can just press A and B and the control is back to life.
 
so, i called nintendo and did some troubleshooting with them.
he's never heard of my problem before and he shipped out a wiimote to me.
very friendly customer service. nintendo

you should probably try calling too (800)255-3700
 
The wiimote shuts itself off when your going between menus, its a battery saving feature. It turns on again when you actually arrive at the menu your supposed to be at.
