Wiimote: Did Anyone's Batteries Die, Yet?

My stock ones just died last night

Although they were used for one picture in a digital camera, that would be my guess as to where all the power went. Anyways, the controller number light gets weaker and weaker, and when you are only down to "one bar" on the home menu, the battery icon is highlighted red. I was in the middle of Zelda, and it just gave me the standard "Remote has lost communications" speech.

I have burnt the stock batteries in each of my 3 remotes, and gone through at least 4 charge cycles of my 4-pack of recharables

yay

Well. I've had mine since launch and it died a week after that.

I'm already on my second set which are now rechargables.

My brother's died three days ago. But he has a stockpile of about 50 AAs be bought from eBay, so he's good. I bought Zelda: TP, and I'm about to buy a GameCube Wavebird wireless remote, all this and I don't have the Wii yet

I have beat Zelda at 53 hours and I am now working on completing every aspect of the game, plus with Super Monkey Ball, Rayman, and Wii sports you can probably tack on another 40-50 hours there. With that in mind I have only change out my batteries once on my remote and I should be changing them out again in the next week.

Rechargeable batteries work perfectly for me, yes I would of rather had Nintendo provide the rechargeable station and battery pack....but it really isn't that big of an inconvenience.

My guess is such a thing will come soon enough; wether first or third party. Like something to replace the current vertical stand, where the sides are expanded to accomidate four remotes to recharge, and perhaps some games, or even slots for other controllers.

Mine will never die, as before i picked up my preorder, i scored a nice set of 8 double a rechargeables and a recharger.

FTW.

To make life sweeter, the UPS man dropped of my component cables i ordered from nintendo.com a week or two ago.

Fucking SCORE..
