WiiKey vs. Clones

Whats the difference?

wii keys are like 30-40 bucks plus shipping and clones on ebay are about 12 bucks.

anyone have any experience with either?

i would just spend the extra money and get something that will probably have better support than a clone

I doubt the clones are updateable like the wiikey is. If they aren't, when the wii updates firmware, the chip won't work.

thanks guys, i went ahead and got a key from one of the sites listed as a reseller from the WiiKey home page, id rather not deal with any unnecessary problems.

haha there was like 12 of them earlier, theyve all been pulled.

If you're going to buy a gimped chip for cheap, just go with a pre-loaded WiiFree or OpenWii chip.

I'm not going to have my wii all summer and im not going to mod it til i get back in the fall..i was just curious.
