Wii with next gen graphics?

So what if the wii had next gen graphics, would you buy it instead of a ps3 or 360 if it was priced in between the two?

I think they could shoot for 720 and still be competitive. Would they make money off every console like they're doing now? Probably not.

i think this is proof of concept. If this puts nintendo in top two position, then the next system will have a better wiimote and next gen graphics.

I don't honestly see Nintendo going back to the traditional control pad style of gaming. I think the remote/nunchuck work great. All they need now is a online service like Live and games in full HD and they will be set to compete. I would call their next console the Wii HD or Wii 2.

It can't have HD graphics due to the lasers. The Wiimote can only big up certain pixels lasers, that are solid. Too much detial would make it go haywire.

Same here. I want a play experiance that I cant get better on a PC. So far the 360 and the PS3 havn't done anything better than my PC IMO.

On the other hand, the Wii has been cheap, new, simple and great addictive gameplay.
