yeah. here's how it happened for me when i got mine.


got home, unpacked, hooked it up, went into the menu, searched for connections, found mine and put in my WEP key, and i was online

mine's never done that. mine used to sit at the Wii Shop channel forever, but no more after the update

I got a router because I got the wii.....the guy at the store thought I was a glue or something...

him:"so how many computers are you hooking up to it?"
me: "none, just my wii"
him: " oh, what is that?"
me: "Nin-ten-do?"

then I had uber issues getting my router up (because technology pisses me off and I have no patience) so I called my internet company because it was the net, not the router. Told the guy why I had it. They kept asking. He had to be close to my age (22) because he was really excited when I told him.

My wii has froze once since hooking up the net, only for a couple seconds though. And never had a problem in wii shop channel
