Does the motion plus controller work with the old wii sports aswel as the new one and will it work with other games?

No as it is it is not necessary and pointless...aside Wii Sports Resort, the Motionplus will work with other games that are designed to work with it such as Grans Slam Tennis, Virtura Tennis 09, Tiger Woods 10, Red Steel 2 and plenty more

No. The Wii motion plus was just released this year. Wii Sports came with the Wii console a few years ago. I don't think the motion plus is compatible with old games.

To find out which games are compatible with the Wii MotionPlus, check the top-right corner on the back of the game's case. If you see a blue Wii Remote controller with the MotionPlus on it, you're in luck.
