[wii] got my component cables but i dont get 480p

I have the same monitor. Have you tried anything in 720p? If so, does it let you choose 1:1 aspect ratio? If so, does it take up the whole screen or do you get a 1" border?

I meant from another source like x360, ps3, pc etc.

You can do 1:1 pixel mapping at 1280x720 resolution (720p) so the image is pixel perfect, but I get a 1" border all the way around. Others don't, so it's only an issue with some I've been thinking about sending it in but I don't want to be without it for long.

Mine came today, I plugged them in, set it to 480p, the menu screens look great - crisp/clear/the channels not in use look like white noise that I never noticed before, but I swear, my Zelda looks worse. As I move, things look pixelated. I don't see any improvement, in all honesty it seems like it looks a little less clear than it did before.

When i started using xbox 360, i wasnt using component, and when i switched i could tell right away how much better it looked on the menu, and even more so when I loaded a game up. It was a vast improvement and looks incredible. I'm just not seeing that happen here with the games and I'm not sure why...menu looks better, game seems to look worse.

Anyone having any issues with these?

Am I doing something wrong? For example, links hat looks like it was drawn on an etch-a-sketch. You can see as it cones up that it's made of larger pixels..do you know what I mean? It's not a smooth looking line. It doesnt look terrible. I'm just surprised/confused.

Help!

Progressive image = more detailed = aliased visuals in games without great graphics Nothing we can really do about it. You can try to lower your sharpness setting but it won't help much.

ok..well as long as my settings are right...i didnt switch the cords back to check if it actually looked worse it just seemed like it. thanks for the info. it still looks good, i was just spoiled by the 360 but i have to realize that its a much better machine graphically and just stop being such a baby
