Wii disc error- wII SPORTS RESORT?

I was playing wii sports resort on the wii and halfway through the game it said disc error, please eject the disc and reset the wii. I did that. Now everytime I want to play a game it makes weird noises (whirring) when it starts up and i put in the disk and the blue light comes on after the disc is in. I keep seeing the disc error message frequently (not on every play). If i exchanged it for a new wii (still in exchange period), did the disc ruin the wii console or was it a random event.
 
it's not your wii, its the game...
i heard alot of things are happening with that game...if you still have the recipt you can go to costumer service and theyll give you an exchange.
