Wii Component Cables FAQ

I heard you cant split the audio part of the cable and the visual part of the component cable. So unless your reciever tv hook up and wii are very close together you need to buy extenders or some shit to connect to your receiver.
 
Let me ask this. I have an older Toshiba CRT TV. The picture is great but it is at least 8 years old. It does have componant connections. I don't know if the TV is EDTV.

Would I probably still get a better picture using them?

I don't know how far you can split them though. It won't matter from me though since I have a switcher for all my my systems.
 
It might be a little cleaner, but still only going to be the absolute best 480i is capable of. If your TV doesn't support 480p, there won't be a HUGE difference.
