Ok.. I searched the threads but couldn't find an answer.. I seem to have a problem with the wifi connection when switching to another router.. When I'm at home, the wifi works great but when i leave and let's say go to starbucks, it picks up the wifi signal, but i'm not able to use the browser until i turn the wifi connection off and then back on.. The indicator shows UMA but it just won't do anything until i cycle the wifi on and off.. Any ideas? It doesn't do that when I do the opposite.. Let's say I start at starbucks with a good connection and leave and go home, the wifi connection picks up right away without having to cycle it off and on.. Kind of stumped.. Using a tmo linksys router at home with dd-wrt firmware, if that even makes a difference..
 
I think it has more to do with the transition of Starbuck's from T-Mobile to at&t. Other users have reported no longer being able to use UMA voice at Starbuck's due to the login screen. They have reported being able to surf the net at Starbuck's but not being able to make a UMA call now.

There was a big thread about this awhile ago but I couldnt find it again. Last I heard was that Tmo had a lawsuit against Starbucks something about being exsclusive with the wifi hotspot to TMO but since then Starbucks wont let tmo phones be uma or use the wifi through them. I will look again to see if I can find this thread.
 
First off, n2SpEeD125 we need more info. Next time you have the problem go to the Manage connection screen, then wifi options, network wifi diagnostics, and scroll to the UMA section. for the error code see what it has, it maybe something like 6.1 isp error, what ever it is, try to get everything you can. Email the report if possible.

Brian80, I think you are referring to the Lawsuit against SB because in the contract that they had with Tmo, it stated that no one can (legally) use the ATT network (WIFI) until all SB had chg their hardware from Tmo to ATT. That I know for sure, I own SB and was not happy to hear of the money being spent to correct a mistake that should have never been made in the first place.
