I have not seen this posted anywhere else so I just figured I would share the information.

Linksys as well as dlink and netgear have small usb or ethernet wireless bridges that you can usually pickup for around $15.

You just connect to it via your PC the first time and setup the SSID and WEP/WPA/TKIP, etc for it to connect back to your WAP. You then just plug a CAT5 cable from the PS3 into the wireless bridge and bang.. you are using your wireless network to communicate without a wireless card in the PS3

here is an example product.. but note they charge more for this calling it a "game adapter" when really its just a wireless ethernet bridge.

I saw some in best buy the other day for $15.99

that is always an option.. but I hate having cables around everywhere and if they dont know how to make a crossover cable and or do not have the crimpers then a 10-15" cat5 cable (depending on where purchased) is not that much cheaper then getting the bridge.

I do pretty much the same thing with my 360. Not trying to start a console war here.

I plug my 360 into my apple airport express and works just fine.
