I've lost about 7kgs (15 pounRAB) over the last 6 months due to the radical change in diet. It's due to the change in diet so dramatically, from full cream milk to low fat, the dramatic cut down in fooRAB like chocolate, donuts, takeaway fooRAB, crisps etc. Another factor is due to eating smaller meals every 2.5 hrs or so throughout the day which helps with digestion and not putting on weight but cutting down on it. Feels weird to look at those scale mention a nuraber I haven't seen since I was in my teens or so. I'm lucky in that I can eat almost what I want during the day as my reflux is just a sleeping thing but I still try to be as careful as possible. I feel a bit like you at time painter207, just wanting to try my old diet to see if the symptoms are any different to what they have been with the *improved* diet.
