R Redhead New member Jul 8, 2009 #2 Catfish are at the deepest point in the water during the day. They do indeed go out during dark hours/NightTime to feed. Try fishing at night time or early enough in the morning that it's still dark. Also I caught two huge catfish by putting some beef on my hook.

W WhachooSay New member Jul 8, 2009 #4 I would catfish at night with a flashlight shining into the water. I caught a huge catfish that way once, because the fish see the light and want to go to it, like a moth, like Carollanne in Poltergeist!
