Yesterday I went to my dealer and ask for the cruzers Vince & Hines, but he told me that Cobra pipes are more of the style of the M50...

What do you think ?
Somebody has Cobra in his Boulevard ?

Im newbie in this stuff...

EDIT (sorry for the wich)

Not sure about the M50, but I just put some Vance & Hines straight shots on my C50 and they sound fantastic. They look cool too. I was not sure if I was going to like the look at first because I really liked the look of the stock pipes (bigger), but seeing the new ones on the bike has changed my mind.

I just ordered the cruzers for my m50. I don't really see any real difference in style...maybe the dealer makes more on the cobras? I just know I've seen enough pics, and sound clips that I expect I'll be happy.

I was told that the chrome on the Cobra's wouldnt last as long as say Hard Krome or V&H so I wound up w/ V&H slash cuts.

I've got the V&H CRUZERS on my C50.
I love 'em.

I heard the same as Rockhead about the Cobra's, but I ride w/two guys that have Cobra's on their bikes (Honda VTX and Yami VSTAR 1100). They've not had any problems with their Cobra's and they look/sound good to me.

My opinion is that the HARD KROME 3" Staggered Straights look hot on the M50. The M50 is a heavy looking bike so they need a heavy looking pipe. they are a little more pricey than the others and that is why I haven't put them on mine yet. Check out this pic I found on the web.

I've had the inside baffle weld on a set of cobra slip-ons break loose on one side. Chrome didn't have any issues and I was not sure of the actual age of the pipes when they did break. I bought the bike used and it came with the pipes mounted.

If you want to "cheap out" like I did, opt for the $210 Jardine Tapered from Oneida Suzuki. They look much better than stock and sound pretty impressive to boot.

Not to bash Cobra, but I have heard complaints that their chrome plating has some issues with durability. I have never heard the same about Hard Krome or V&H. If you are willing to spend the money, opt for those two brands in whatever style suits you. I'll be getting the HK Kickers when they are available for the M50.

I included some pics of the Jardine pipes on my bike. Well worth the $ IMHO.

Don't buy anything from Oneida Suzuki, they are rude, unhelpful and won't return or exchange anything even if it's a gift or their own fault for sending you the wrong thing or advising you to get the wrong thing.

Hi There,I had the Cobra Classic Slashcut pipes installed ...sounds great to me,go to their site, click on exhuast and pick your bike..they give you sound clips, CobraUSA - Home

Just did a set of Hard Krome Strippers, they sound great and netted me some HP and torque with the PC install at the same time. Very loud and are supposedly better quality than Cobra, Jardine, etc. Those cheaper brands tend to blue the chrome, I'm told.

Good luck!

Just got my Cobra Streetrod Pipes and FI2000 installed today on the C50T. Wow what a difference it makes. I'm surprised at how loud the pipes were compared to stock. Guess I'm just not used to it yet. Scared the wife when I fired it up. I'm sure after a few weeks to a month I'll have a better opinion of them. Still getting used to them. Every time I ride it now I like them better and better.

I've noticed that it doesn't make too deep of a sound when I'm riding. I'm assuming it's because it's only an 805cc bike. I've heard a friend's aftermarket pipes on his 1500 and it was deep as could be.

I've been told that V&H and Cobra are roughly equivalent and that you can't go wrong with either one. I just prefered the look of the Cobra even though it was more expensive than V&H. I need to get a pic and post it. Not sure how I'll be able to record a sound bite to share.

Just installed V&H Cruisers, a big bark from the pipes, look great.I will have some pics when the addons are complete. Giddy up!
