was it okay for SNL to mock Bush all these years, but blacks are whining when they mock Obama? Anyone else smell hypocrites amongst us
 
SNL mocked Bush for saying stupid things, doing stupid things and in general for being STUPID! What are they going to mock Obama about? Being black? No, that'd be racist. Being Muslim? No, because that's not even true. Being Christian? It's true, but he's not an evangelistic Christian zealot like Bush is. Perhaps for being INTELLIGENT? Yeah, THAT'S the ticket! Mock him for being smart enough to look like a friggin' rocket scientist by comparison when he stands next to Bush next January when he gets sworn in as the 44th President of the United States.
 
You are right on point with this question. It is a double standard. Whoever runs against him for office better not try to go after him because they will be accused of being racist. The stupid republicans are already watching thier tone because they are afraid of being called racist. He is the perfect candidate for the Dems because nobody is allowed to criticize him because he is black. I would go after him full force and wouldnt have to do it on a basis of race. His race has nothing to do with his plans or lack there of for this country if he becomes president.
 
That's a straw man argument (also known as BS). I haven't heard a single person complain. SNL has been making fun of people like Al Sharpton and Jesse Jackson for years. In the case of those two men it was while they were actually hosting the show.
