Why would the A/C on 98 Honda Civic not be cold?

It was recently re-charged (not at a shop, but by a mechanic-friend) and there are no visible leaks, any ideas?

They may not have charged it correctly, if at all. Could also be that the compressor died or something like that.

the Air compressor in your car has died.it should be replaceable s long as you don't keeptrying to use it. it could possibly explode or catch fire. Go to a actual repair shop and have them look at it. nut don't let them feed you a lot of krap.

Like once i went to get my tires replaced and the guy who would do it for me try to replace my Windsheild. Windsheild wipers. brake pads, rotors. Which i knew were in perfect shape. I had replaced them all a month ago.

So don't let them feed you all that Sh**
