why would my starter whine? Also not stop whining unless I remove the negative...

...battery cable? brand new startr it is a brand new aftermarket starter from autozone. lets see I went to start the car this morniing and it cranked then just started whining didnt start the car though. I turnd the ignition off and still whining....I removed the key and the same....I pop open the hood remove the neg cable and then finally it stopped...everytime I go back to connect the bat cable it keeps whining and the neg cable sparks as if to say something is stilling continuously pulling power or trying.....I even went in and tried to start the car again by turning the key and nothing happend just the same never stopped whining....damn starter
I bought the starter on sunday...
 
Sounds like the solenoid is stuck.
Depending on the location of the solenoid , even with a new starter its going to do the same thing.
Take off the starter and have Auto Zone test it.
 
your stater whines???? thats nota starter bro..its a supercharger!!!
