Why would my new 2009 Honda Accord rear-right tire go flat after 2 months?!?

I just bought my car 2 months ago and today, the back right tire went completely flat. I am very pissed. Even the front 2 tire hub caps are semi sticking out. I admit that I can be a messy driver when I parallel park but I don't think hitting the curb a couple of times should make the tire go completely flat. Do you think that I can get my warranty to cover this?

Oh, and when we took the tire out, there was a staple in there. But I really don't believe a staple can kill a tire just like that. It was good this morning, completely flat later that night.

What should I do??

The staple was probably causing the leak. Just take it to a tire place. Like Discount, or Les Schwab. Most tire places will fix a flat for free, if they do charge, it will cost less than $10. If there is a problem with the tire, they will tell you.

the staple can do what you described if it went all the way through the tread.
Have your mechaninc check the valves to see if theyre leaking.

Tyres are perishables so unless you can prove that there is a manufacture defect. You will have to foot the bill.

Oh yes it can. Take it to the dealer. If it is NOT the staple, then sometimes it is just a matter of remounting the tires.

Other times tires leak for no reason. One of tires (never leaked before) was completely flat one morning. I filled it with air and it was never flat again.

Good luck...

P.S. Make sure nobody is playing a prank on you.
