Not sure why you would think this is a fault.
The device is telling you that you have the charged plugged in but is already fully charged.
If you are sure it is not fully charged (98%/99%) then it may need a repair
When I plug my laptop in it says plugged in, not charging. I have tried using a different charger and this did not help. Is this something than could be fixed by replacing the battery?
I don not think that the battery had anything to do withh it my laptop had the same problem i just kept using it until it eventually died and then it just started charging it's self again. If you want to try that method go for it if not i suggest you take it to a computer expert and just ask them whats wrong with it or if you will need any new parts for it
mine does this. i think in bending the mains lead i have some how broken something in the cable. check on your computer though if the battery is full charged, because if it is its fully charged it's just giving a false reading.
