Meh, none of these answers are spiritually or psychologcially analyzed by the answer'er.

I do believe in a "force", so to say that fuels the Universe with its ability to develop matter or "physical" things or objects, quantum included ,out of nothing.

God: Can neither be created nor destroyed. All knowing, "wise".

Energy: Can neither be created nor destroyed. The aspect that "creates" perspective for anything within the perspective of the "energy".

Alot of atheists are reacting to the thought or idea of a higher power negatively based solely on their own personal negative circumstance; what we've heard, seen, or experienced that we couldn't accept or emotionally withstand during expression, or, "living".

Denying God is to deny existence, denying a religious God is to deny a religion. Period. Whether you call it God or no God, you are still portraying the same absolute truth that presents itself to us psychologically with or without our doing; atheisim, theism.
The clause to all of this is that while atheists believe the answers to this question are found "in" life, the theists believe it is found "outside" of it. But the truth is that no answer is able to be found, simply because this thing we are trying to explain or express directly, cannot be, hesne the term, incomprehensible. God, in other words, cannot be expressed physically. It is merely an idea, which constitutes for it's purpose entirely, for, life as we can "comprehend" it, is nothing more than thought. Although to many theists this may seem like a denial or rejection to God, it is actually the cold hard truth we are all faced to live with as seekers of truth. We are forced to think, endlessly, about God or not about God, but always about something. So my conclusion is this, if the idea of God isn't valid, that how can any ideas be? Considering of course, all ideas are one in the same? This is the compassion or love that your beloved Jesus spoke and warned you would miss..
Ahh, to all the people describing God as a merciless God, then are aren't denying the idea, but instead supporting the Islamic teachings. You speak of life, murders, emotions, catastrophies; coincidence. This is God's doing, but not directly, or consciously as a Human being would. That is where the rift is, because when God metaphorically takes a man's life, he feels no sympathy, because we are all in esscence "the Will to Recieve", and God is "The will to Bestow" or give. Pain and misery are all perceptions of Man, not God. In other words, if we didn't care, we would be untouched by the world's chaos. But this just isn't possible, so the only option would be to gain Knowledge or Wisdom from it. For example, Ahh red wavy pretty thing.. Touch red wavy pretty thing.. OUCH! *Cry* red wavy pretty thing hurts me! It's hot! "Note to brain: Don't touch red wavy pretty thing, identity, fire." - A new perception is created. This is man, this is how we interact.. Let that settle.
