...the military to the ...? ... obviously incompetent government? Sorry, but according to con logic, the government is FAR too lazy, expensive, and incompetent to be running such a vital service. And it's PROVEN that the government spends too much. I want to have a tea party just thinking about all the money being wasted on government-run military programs.

Let's privatize the troops. Start charging people $200 a pop use police services like we do currently to see a doctor in our excellent health-care system. I guarantee it will get so much better and more efficient.
 
1) Privatization of emergency services should be happening. Why should I pay for police if I don't need/want them? My community has it's own security force. They are the ones I call if I would have any problems.
2) As for military, the Federal Government is responsible for national defense.
 
You don't show any sources so it's clear you don't know what you are talking about. An individual cannot declare war on another nation!?!

Conservatives have always believed in minimal government and the military is one of the minimum areas that should be run by the government.
