actually i bought my wii for around $400 when it came out and my ps3 for around $600 and ( i got my wii first) and it lasted me a good while and the whole "motion playing" thing is fun. its a lot more healthy ( its not the healthiest thing to do in your spare time but healthier than playing other consoles) and although i dont touch my wii a lot now, the new ps3's are crap - they are missing a LOT of thinggs the old ones do ( lucky for me) ... but overall i have to agre with you that for younger kids/teens the ps3 owns ..... but for young adults, middle-aged people and may b even the older population , the wii is a lot better ...... and thats why soem people consider the wii mroe, because of it's physical activity and realistic sports , all in the comfort of your own home
