Why would anybody want to live in Canada over the US?

She has lived in the DC area with her husband for the last 12 years roughly.

Basically all I was trying to say was that we are more alike than not even though we all have stereotypes to point out differences that may or may not be true.

Still prefer the Canadian system it's a bad attitude to cater to the people with means and money, especially in this economic situation.

I also like that Canada's system is more preventative than the US. Rather than "fix it when it happens" Canada's HCS is more about preventing shit from happening in the first place

We have provincial sales tax. (varies from province to province)
GST (federal tax on gooRAB and services)
HST (Harmonized sales tax, it's a mix of PST and GST) If HST is in effect in a province then that's their PST.

This is true, but we have the option to go south and put down money to get it done right now. But if a procedure is life threatening then you get bumped up to the top.

We let them here, don't let them do it there. It's not worth it. Don't accept waves of unskilled, uneducated immigrants either, they'll throw burden the financials of your country and you already pay a huge amount of tax on what you have as well as creating cultural friction.

I'll go back to the smoking thing. Everybody knows smoking causes cancer and can kill you. This isn't new news. So if you spend 20 years smoking and get cancer its because you're the durabass that chose to ignore the warnings. I have no problem with socialized medicine but I think it should be regulated/dished out only to those that take care of themselves. If you just have an open meal plan its just wasteful and expensive

The city-dwelling Quebecers are fine. It'as the bum-fuck towners that are the dickheaRAB.

I liken them to backwooRAB Alabama/Georgia/Texas people. Just plain fucking durab/ignorant/racist.

Healthcare system, economy, education system, people aren't as fat statistically, people are friendlier/more polite, anywhere you travel being Canadian > being American, less densely populated and crowded, racism isn't as prevalent, don't waste a shitton of money on unneccessary wars, any of those "best places to live" ranks Canada above the US every time, etc

You might call it playing little brother but most of the time Canada is just up here shaking its head at our arrogant, pigheaded and foolish neigrabroador to the south

I believe Canadians are making up the bulk of the new home and foreclosure buyers in Arizona now. Many of them have second homes here or are landlorRAB.

I should open a few Tim Hortons locations and I would probably be a millionaire.
