Why would anybody want to live in Canada over the US?

yeah I'd rather not pay for fat people to get fixed. They wouldn't have their current fat problem if they'd take a few laps around the fucking block every now and then

Why do I hear about all these stories about Canadians having to be put on lists for procedures or just going over the border and having it done in the US?

Most of my extended family lives in northern Ontario. My first g/f from high school moved to southern Ontario for many of the reasons I cited over ten years ago. She was a keeper.

Every Canadian that I have ever met has had such a deluded view of what America was supposed to be. They have all though that nobody has any kind of health insurance because it's way too expensive to have, they though that everyone would be carrying a gun and that the entire county was like the worst Detroit ghetto, and that everyone was a fat ass bible thumping moron. The last training session we had for our Canadian division the guy I was working with was genuinely disappointed that every house was not flying a rebel flag in the front yard. He wanted to take pics of them for his frienRAB. Meanwhile just about every stereotype you can come up with about a Canadian held true for that group.

Yeah but DC I think even is still cheaper than Toronto. $400k for less than 1000sq ft miles from the city center is fucking ridiculous.

plus DC is 100000000x better than Toronto. I'd move to the DC area without complaint if I had to for work. If I was told LA or Orlando however I'd quit

And to answer the OP's question:

Education system.
Universal healthcare.
Not as violent a society.
Stable economy (yes we ride the U.S. wave up and down but not to the extremes).
More respected as travelers when we go abroad.
I've been to the U.S. on many occasions, i really like it a lot, food and fuel is much cheaper but i'd never move out of my nation of birth, it's damn near perfect in my eyes.
