schools/colleges support homosexuality? I don't see how a gay person could not be happy today when almost every college kowtows to homosexuality; yet how could a gay person commit suicide? Okay, relax, relax, I know there are exceptional cases but that is the point! There have only been five recent well-known and confirmed cases of suicide (in the US) committed by someone who was bullied for being gay---only five. Do you know how many people per year commit suicide in the United States? 30,000 plus---during the same time period it is most probable that more people committed suicide for the more usual reasons like financial troubles, relationship strains, lack of success in work/school, a whole host of actual psychological problems like autism, OCD, etc., and much more. Yet the media has the gall to focus in on this issue to the exclusion of all the more important issues that lead to suicide? Yeah sure, if you lower the bar to whatever issue led to five suicides, you are going to get a sh!t load of issues considering 30,000+ occur per year.
I just see it as the media getting up on a soap box and using these issues as a Trojan Horse to dismantle our society. The media falsely believes that us minority pro-marriage people don't like gays--the truth is that we only want to protect marriage and are against any alternative including many things BESIDES gay marriage like group marriages for the polyamorous, polygamy, you name it, we are against it. I don't care what you are sexually attracted to whether it is a man a woman or a donkey, I really don't, and I would give you the same rights and treat you with the same dignity and respect (including anti-discrimination laws and hate crime laws--both of which I approve for all) but I want marriage to stay the same.
