why wont yahoo messenger work on my blackberry curve 8320?

i downloaded the yahoo messenger for my bb 8320 and when i try to sign in it says SERVICE NOT ENABLED FOR THIS DEVICE. any clue on why or how i can solve this problem? email me with answer or advice. THANKS ;)
