Why won't windows media player work?

All of a sudden it won't let me play the songs in my library. Every time i click on a song, it put's a red X on it and gives an error code. Then it takes me to the web and tells the procedures to check if my driver is updated and if my sound devices or working properly. I did everything it told me and everything is coming up fine. What can i do now?
 
make sure that the song is still in the folder that u put it in

it may have gotten deleted

if so, then go get the song back like how u got it in the first place, then

go to my documents > music > then add the mp3 file there

now double click that file and media player will be back to normal

=)
 
May i suggest ,Foobar2000 or winamp instead of Wmp.

Plays your music fine much better options then windows media player.
