I insert a DVD into the drive. I open it with Media Player. It shows picture but no sound. I then close that program and play it in a different program and get sound. Can Media Player actually play sound and video at the same time? And if so, what's wrong.
I normally know my way around a computer. This was a problem on my last laptop (a Compaq) and my current one (an Acer). I tried all the obvious things, like checking the master volume on my computer and within the program, rebooting the computer, and trying different DVDs. I've eliminated everything but problems running the computer.
