why wont windows media player burn me a cd?

it doesnt have any information on it, i know that for sure. i have a burn list and it says that i even have space left on the disk. i know that i dont need to fill it up all the way. so i put the things that i want on it. and then it comes up with "Windows Media Player encountered a problem while burning the file to the disc. For additional assistance, click Web Help." idk what to do
