If i connect my xbox 360 via HDMI, it gets sound and video. So why isn't it the same with my computer?
First off, I want to say, the 32" is always connected for a dual screen option. Assuming we're not watching TV my girlfriend likes to play her games on the TV, but all the sound still comes from her computer speakers.
Do I really need to unplug her 3.5mm stereo jack from her computer speakers and plug into the tv everytime she wants to play on the TV? Or can the HDMI support the sound?
I know on my TV it has a sound option for HDMI plug in, but when I turn that on, still no sound.
For a few specs, the gfx card is an ATI Radeon HD 4650 and thats where the HDMi conects to the TV, do gfx cards not support the HDMI sound function? If so, would we just be better off dual screening off the Mobo? Any performance issues with that?
