I just recently switched my wifi settings to WEP-open from WPA-TKIP on my laptop, in order to allow my Nintendo DS to connect to wifi so that I can play games with my friend online. After changing the security, all of my wireless devices had no trouble connecting to the router, or getting a signal. However, my mom and brother have told me that they weren't able to connect to wifi at all, even after putting in the security password. I was wondering if there was a way to get around this, or if I would just have to lose out on playing my DS online since the software in the games doesn't allow it to connect with WPA security settings. I had to change the settings back to WPA this morning, and everyone's devices connected right after, so I'm not sure if it's an issue with their devices, or if it's something else entirely. A few of the devices that weren't connecting after the security change include an Xbox 360, others' laptops, and an iPhone 4. Is there a way to keep the WEP settings, and have everyone connected to wireless internet besides just me? Any help would be greatly appreciated.
