why wont my new stereo power on?

i plugged all the wires in correctly (they are all color coded) and my speakers hook up via the peamp ouputs on the back. problem is the stereo wont power on when i turn the key.

i pushed the cd eject button and can hear it trying to spit out a cd, but the screen doesnt turn on.

any ideas?
this was a display model at the store, so i know it worked, i saw it
 
something is wrong with the stereo if ur positive that u hooked up every wire correctly than its damaged get anothjer one dont deal with it if ur still having problems have a pro connect it for u
