I have a 2006 Honda 919 with 5.5k miles that I am trying to sell. It has been sitting for about 2 months since I didn't want to put miles on it while trying to sell. Last week someone came to check it out and I checked to make sure it would start before he came because I was worried the battery would be dead. It started just fine but I could tell the battery was weak. I put it on the tender, and yesterday when someone else came to check it out, I put the battery back in. Problem is that this time, I can't get her to start up at all. There is gas in the tank, I can hear the pump prime, all the lights look right, the engine turns, but it just won't catch. I let it sit for a day, and tried again. Same result. I get about 7 or 8 tries out of the battery before its dead and I have to put it back on the charger. It seems like the bike is too new and has too few miles on it to be having serious problems. I've had it for a year and it's always started first try. Really not sure what it could be! As a side note, most of the help for these problems I am seeing is for carbureted bikes, and this is fuel injected. Can anyone offer me some help? It's hard to sell a bike that won't start!
