i was riding in the parking lot and dropped it going prolly like less than 5 mph and when i picked it back up and tried to start it...it wouldnt start. does anyone have any knowledge of why it wouldnt start? it doesnt even try to start. i dont understand what that means. i am at a friends place and cant go home until it does...it would be great if you could help out. thanks in advance

If turning it off and back on doesn't help, disconnect the battery and reconnect it. I don't know if that makes sense to you but it's logical if the issue is a tip over sensor.

What side did you drop it on? Is the stator cover in tact? Did you damage the kickstand switch? Make sure the kill switch is in the correct position.

Your lay down sensor sounds like its stuck. I put rubber cement in mine so it cant shut off on me in tight turns.

tip over sensors, just turn the key off and on and it should start. My ninja 650r does the same thing. some bikes are more complicated, but unless the bikes a lemon, a parking lot drop just requires the right input to 'reset' the bike. check the manual...
