why wont my jeep grand cherokee move?

the transmission just went out in my 1996 jeep grand cherokee and i just finished changing it today and now that its all back together it wont move, in drive or reverse it just acts like theres a huge load on the engine, it doesnt budge at all, with the transfer case in 4 high, neutral, or 4 low, its all the same, what could be happening? its all time 4x4, could the transfer case be binding up? could the transmission be wrong for some reason? idk what kind of transmission but the engine is a 4.0 i6
