Engine is a carburated 383 stroker, has a 650 cfm Edelbrock carb on it. I set it up, sounded great, wasn't running lean or rich, had the idle down low. Could easily hear the cam through the exhaust, car never sounded better. Had perfect throttle response. So as I was cleaning up the driveway from where I kicked a bucket of oil and some splashed out. So after about 30 minutes of the car idling, it stopped sounding so smooth, then it got slower, then started sputtering, I reached in and grabbed the choke and pulled it out about half way (Yes, I have a manual choke, none of that electric shit), and the idle picked up a little higher than usual, I'm guessing because of the choke idling screw, just causes it to idle higher with it being choked. So I started fiddeling with the fuel/air screws again and I haven't gotten it to run without being choked again since then. I have been working with it for about 8 hours now. I have already sprayed carb cleaner around the base of the carb and the vac hoses and listened for the idle to kick up, it never did. So I have no leaks. And don't be replying with your fanboy Holley vs Edelbrock bullshit either, I run Edelbrock on this car and Holley on my truck, and the only difference I notice is the Holley makes traveling through Kentucky more of a pain than what it's worth.
Since people usually ask me what car it is, because for some reason it helps. The car is a 94 Camaro. So yes, I have swapped the engine from a piece of crap fuel injected LT1 to a old style 383 stroker.
