why wont my burned CD's play in my car stereo?

i've burned a CD using the "audio cd" format from i tunes which plays in my computer and my CD player in the house but not in my car? this is really frustrating me. any advice please???
it plays others that people have made for me but they are on CD-R's but the discs i've bought are CD-RW's which play in my CD player at home but not in the car CD player. could this be the problem? any ideas?

Well you have to make sure that your CD player says DVD/CD/RW DVD/ RW CD to play burn CD's or DVD's

Some car head units just are not capable of this and some will work with some blank media brands and not with others.

Mine's the same - car stereo's seem to be tempermental with copies!
