Why wont my 98 lexus gs300 start ?

I have 98 lexus gs300 that wont start. One day it wouldnt start so one of my friends ran the jumper cables on it and it started but the heater, the radio, and the clock wouldnt turn on. The headlights were slightly dim too. I left it on for a while so the battery can regain some power but after like 10-15 minutes i turned the car off. Later that night when i went to turn it on again it wouldnt start. No lights would come on and there was no noise when i turned the key. I thought it was the battery so i went and bought a new one but it still wouldnt work. There was no sign of power I would turn the key and nothing would happen.

I really need some help !!!

What can be the problem ?
